“Strange is the Night” at The Lovecraft Reread

Over at the Tor site Anne M. Pillsworth and Ruthanna Emrys conduct an in-depth examination of my story “Strange is the Night,” first published in the anthology Cassilda’s Song (edited by Joe Pulver). The story will appear next in my collection, Strange is the Night, scheduled for release by the JournalStone imprint Trepidatio Publishing in September.

Pillsworth and Emrys describe their weekly blog, The Lovecraft Reread, in this way: “Two modern Mythos writers get girl cooties all over old Howard’s sandbox, from those who inspired him to those who were inspired in turn.” They’ve been writing these extensive posts since July 2014. Check out the blog for some keen insights and funny riffs on classic and contemporary stories influenced in one way or another by Lovecraft (and the authors who inspired his writing).
